But does it have Pockets? Term 2

Sale Price: $220.00 Original Price: $240.00

The ultimate act of functional rebellion.

Weโ€™ve all been there: you find the perfect dress or a sleek pair of trousers, only to realize they offer nowhere to put your phone, your keys, or your hands. For too long, mainstream fashion has prioritized "silhouette" over the simple necessity of a pocket, a design choice rooted in a history of keeping garments decorative rather than practical.

Itโ€™s time to rage against the lack of pockets.

Join us for our new sewing series at Stitch Kitchen, designed for intermediate to advanced sewists who are ready to take on the perfect Re Fashion project.. This isn't just a technical workshop; itโ€™s a masterclass in functional liberation. By mastering the art of the pocket, you aren't just improving a garment youโ€™re claiming your right to utility.

What Youโ€™ll Master

Over this series, we move beyond the basics into the structural engineering of storage. Youโ€™ll learn to seamlessly integrate pockets into existing garments or modify your favorite patterns with professional flair:

The Essential Patch Pocket: Perfecting placement, shaping, and durability.

In-Seam Pockets: The invisible secret to a functional side-seam.

The "J" Pocket: Mastering the classic, sturdy curve of denim and trouser styles.

The Cargo Pocket: Learning the bellows and flaps required for heavy-duty, maximum utility storage.

Professional Welts & Double Jetted Pockets: Crisp, clean, tailored precision.

The Zipper Pocket: Adding secure, hardware-focused storage for activewear or bags.

Participants will walk away with core patterns and samples to inform their sewing journey. Not to mention the skills.

Sew Sustainably, Live Practically
In a world of fast fashion, the most radical thing you can do is make your clothes last. By upcycling and repurposing your existing wardrobe to include pockets, youโ€™re extending the life of your garments and preventing high-quality textiles from ending up in the landfill.

Why settle for a fast garment when you can transform a pre-loved piece into your new favorite functional staple?
